Andrew F. Johnson
Dr. Andrew F. Johnson is an Associate Professor in the College of Business at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. He holds an undergraduate and master’s degrees from Tarleton State University. He earned a PhD in 2015 from the University of Texas at San Antonio and joined the TAMU-CC faculty in fall of that year.
A native of north Texas, he was elected to the Stephenville City Council in 2004 and 2006. Prior to his academic appointment, he served as chief of staff to a member of the Texas House of Representatives from 2013-2015. In this capacity, he worked extensively on local government issues, budgeting, and on legislation concerning higher education.
He is published in academic journals in the areas of corporate political activity, political ideology in organizations, international management, human resources, and several public policy areas. At the Island University he teaches multinational management, principles of management, business strategy, and a graduate course on business, government, and society.
Beginning in 2022, Dr. Johnson began serving as the Associate Dean for Student Success in the College of Business at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
