  1. Your use of TAMU-CC Pressbooks platform is governed by the Pressbooks.com Terms of Service.
  2. You understand that the copyright status of any content you create or edit using the TAMU-CC Pressbooks platform is governed by the TAMU System Ownership of Intellectual Property and Tangible Research Property
  3. You understand that the TAMU-CC Pressbooks platform is intended for the creation of Open Educational Resources (OER) for use in a TAMU-CC course.
  4. You agree to publish any content you create using the TAMU-CC Pressbooks platform under a Creative Commons license. You must also provide files that are accessible for reuse (word or PDF). For specialized circumstances that may require a more restrictive license, please contact oer@tamucc.edu.
  5. You agree to comply with all copyright and other intellectual property laws. If you have questions about copyright, help is available at the Bell Library.
  6. You agree to maximize the accessibility of any content you create on the TAMU-CC Pressbooks platform. Learn what you can do in the Accessibility & Universal Design chapter of the Pressbooks User Guide.
  7. You understand that a copy of any content you create or edit using the TAMU-CC Pressbooks platform will be posted in the TAMU-CC Repository in order to preserve a stable version and make your content more discoverable to search engines. TAMU-CC Pressbooks titles are also automatically linked in Library Quick Search in order to increase discoverability for TAMU-CC students.
  8. You must have an active TAMU-CC affiliation to use the TAMU-CC Pressbooks platform. Authors must include at least one faculty member of TAMU-CC, though students may serve as coauthors.
