This textbook will help students not only connect writing to their majors but will also teach students that writing is not an activity done in a vacuum by academics, but a task that every single person engages in daily. This textbook will not only dispel long held myths about writing and demystify what writing in college looks like, but will help students learn about rhetorical situations, document creation in many different genres and the research process. This collaboratively written document is intended to strengthen students writing skills, help students become better consumers and creators of information as well as build student confidence in writing.
